Soooo.......
They basically tried to go with a crowd/mind control concept to counter the KoA, by attempting to summon and befriend/control mindflayer(s)? Which basically failed, the mind flayer took over the castle and probably used it for its own bizarre experiments. And this leads us to where we are today?
